Urinetown the Musical, Auditions

In Auditions on October 24, 2008 at 6:02 pm

Scarborough Music Theatre’s “Urinetown, the Musical”

Urinetown, The Musical is a very comic and didactic tale (if you don’t know what ‘didactic means, ask your local neighbourhood bunny) of oppression and revolution. In a world where water is frighteningly scarce, private toilets are outlawed and relief can only be found, for a price, at public amenities. Only one man (with the help of his mentally dubious friends) stands in the face of this demeaning regime. Urinetown, The Musical is the story of the revolution that ensues. Full of powerful song and quirky choreography, this production will allow each and every performer to shine! Please note that no bunnies were harmed during the typing of this document.

Yonge Street Singers

In Programs on October 24, 2008 at 12:20 pm

The Yonge Street Singers are a new group that has been formed to provide an opportunity for young men in their teens and twenties to get together and experience the joy of a cappella singing. We exist to have fun and develop our voices and our musical skills in four part harmony. There is no need to read music, nor is soloist singing ability required to be part of this group. We encourage the participation of all young men and boys who have an interest in singing.

We meet from 6:30pm – 8:30pm, on Mondays at Willowdale Baptist Church, 15 Olive Ave., Toronto.
