First off, I want to thank everyone who has become a part of the TYAL community by subscribing to the RSS feed, telling their friends about the site, sending me emails about arts opportunities and contacting the organizations I’ve linked to in my posts. I’m sure many of you have noticed that updates are no longer as frequent as they used to be and that’s something which I will address in a moment, but I’d like to say thank you for sticking with the blog even when updates come only once a week, or sometimes even less! I hope this has been a useful resource for you over the past year and in saying so, I would like to discuss the future of this blog with you.

Billy Moon has become trapped in the nine-to-five life of crowded subways and fluorescent offices. Unable to find a place in ordinary society, Billy packs his suitcase and runs away from home. Pursued by the specter of a great black dog, Billy’s journey finally leads him to the very edge of the world, where he must confront the demons of his own mind.

Clay & Paper Theatre is seeking 4 Performers and 1 Stage Manager for our summer production, Between Sea & Sky.

Full-time, June 8 – August 11, 2009
Variable schedule including evenings and weekends.

You must be a post-secondary student returning to school in the fall.

As a member of our summer Performance Troupe you will learn the arts of puppeteering and outdoor performance, participate in several community festivals, and spend your summer working in beautiful Dufferin Grove Park. Bicycle riders preferred, as well as those with some musical ability.

Akin Collective is an art studio and event space located at 48 Abell Street near the Drake Hotel at Queen and Dufferin and conveniently located just behind Woolfitt’s Art Enterprises. We offer a 650 square foot space that can use to work on any artistic endeavours. The cost for a one month membership is $100 even. Studio space is also available to non-members for shorter periods of time. On top of this we organize gallery events to give our members an opportunity to showcase their pieces and network with individuals in the artistic community.

Studio Hours:
Members: 24/7
Non-members: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Closed from 6 PM Sat – 10 AM Sun

Unlimited 24/7 use: $100/month
